Apartment search tool
I am going through the process of deciding between a number of apartments for an upcoming move. To make sure I ask the questions I need to when visiting each apartment complex, I have developed an apartment search checklist. The document is an Excel spreadsheet, and the second worksheet has an average monthly rent calculator. I found that many places were offering free rent for a month or two, and this tool has helped me see how much the rent averages out to over the whole lease term. Feel free to use or modify this spreadsheet for your own purposes if you wish.
